Originally from California, Danica moved to Texas when she was 10 and lived in the Houston area and went to Cy-Fair High School. In high school she was involved in choir and was a photographer for her yearbook class.
She later moved to the East Texas area, a few years after graduating high school in 2014. There, she went to Stephen F. Austin State University where she hosted a Campus and Community show for her school's radio station. During college, she also interned at 104.1 KRBE in Houston.
After graduating college in 2020, she stayed in the East Texas area working for the NBC affiliate KETK in Tyler.
Two years after she made her way to Nashville, Tennessee.
