‘Armed and dangerous’ man arrested following search by THP, Wayne Co. Sheriff’s Office
The sheriff’s office initially warned people in the area of Dogwood Flats and Collinwood communities to be on the lookout for Charles Fred Staggs.
Armed and dangerous man on the run in Wayne County

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office said a suspect considered armed and dangerous was taken into custody.
The sheriff’s office initially warned citizens in the area of Dogwood Flats and Collinwood communities to be on the lookout for Charles Fred Staggs, before he was arrested.
“Do not confront him, if you see him, dial 911 immediately,” Wayne Co. Sheriff’s Office said.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol helped the sheriff’s office with the search for Staggs, who was eventually captured.
